Adam and Heather’s engagement portraits… pumpkins, corn, a beautiful flowing river, and a romantic tractor kiss. (Yes, you read that right.) Click the link for more!
I met up with Heather and Adam this week for some countryside engagement portraits. Heather and Adam are high school sweethearts and are getting married next September. In honor of their fall nuptials, we began our shoot at Sinkland Farms, which is famous locally for their yearly pumpkin festival. I love this shot of Heather and Adam through the pumpkin patch.
The folks at Sinkland Farms had two old tractors set out by the cornfield as part of their festival. I suggested we do some romantic tractor shots, because, you know… carpe diem and all that. How many chances do you get to do romantic tractor shots?!
(I love the lightness of this next one.)
After we were done at Sinkland, we drove down to the Little River, right at the Montgomery/Floyd County border. I never would have found this spot on my own. We went from a major highway to a narrow side road, to a one-lane side road, to a gravel road, to no road…. and then we were there. Adam proposed to Heather at this spot, at a little wooden swing by the river, over hamburgers. To me, that sounds like the perfect proposal!
I love the way the yellow leaves look in the sunlight in this next shot.
And this last one is becoming my favorite. I love the soft light and the look on Heather’s face.
Thank you for reading, and please leave a comment so I know you’ve been here! : )

You need think about it. Despite the emails, the overwhelming evidence showing global warming is happening hasn’t changed.
“The e-mails do nothing to undermine the very strong scientific consensus . . . that tells us the Earth is warming, that warming is largely a result of human activity,” Jane Lubchenco, who heads the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, told a House committee. She said that the e-mails don’t cover data from NOAA and NASA, whose independent climate records show dramatic warming.
