John and Pam got married last weekend at Claytor Lake State Park. It was unseasonably cold and threatening rain, but the clouds parted for their ceremony and all we had was a bit of drizzle. Please enjoy these photos from part one of their big day!
Pam and the girls got ready at the New Dimensions Salon and Day Spa in Christiansburg. Everyone got hair and makeup done and looked beautiful.
Pam’s niece Sierra joined us a wedding day makeover of her own. She is the most beautiful little girl!
I love this next shot of Sierra waiting her turn.
After the salon, we headed to Pam’s house to get the dresses on.
And… voila! Beautiful!
As I mentioned, last weekend was COLD. We were all fretting about the weather, especially as rain started to fall on the drive over to Claytor Lake. Fortunately, the rain stopped just as we were getting started with the ceremony, and John and Pam were blessed with a beautiful (if frigid) day.
If you’ve been following my photography long, you probably know that as a 28-year-old girl who would like to have her own family soon, I have a definite weakness for little kids at weddings. Pam had a troupe of little girls all bundled up to hand out programs, and they were precious!
The ceremony took place in the gazebo behind the park’s welcome center. I like this shot of John waiting on his bride:
Pam’s son Nathan walked her down the aisle. Don’t you just love her smile?
Pam’s daughter Lexi sang “I Will Be There” during the ceremony. Lexi is going to college on a vocal scholarship next year, so it was a real treat to hear her perform.
Congratulations, John and Pam!
Stay tuned for photos from John and Pam’s reception at the Water’s Edge Marina! Wait until you see their cake…
