Tony Marinello is the new assistant director of the Marching Virginians at Virginia Tech, and he asked me to do some headshots for him to use on his website, concert programs, etc. This was my first official headshot session and I’m happy with the results! I think Tony looks dashing in these. Check out his green eyes…
We shot these in downtown Blacksburg. Tony wanted more of an urban look, and I was really excited to try some new backgrounds. You’ll notice right away that these are not just traditional HEADshots… we did a lot of different portrait lengths for variety and to show more of the town. This next set is in front of the new “black box” theatre building – snazzy!
The next few are down by Bollo’s, a neat little coffee shop where the artist crowd tends to gather.
Since Tony is a conductor, he also needed some shots indoors in a tux. These were all taken in the Squires Recital Salon using one strobe. Thanks to John Tice for loaning me his lights again.
Thanks Tony! I hope you love your photos.
