There isn’t much more flattering for a photographer than getting to have a repeat customer. I did some family portraits for Summer and Michael and their boys last June, and last month, Summer asked me to come back and do a few more for fall. We had a hard time getting the weather to cooperate, but we finally got to do the shoot last weekend, and I really love the results.
We shot most of these pictures at an old red barn off of the Gate City Highway in Bristol. (Don’t worry – I got permission first!) But first, we met at Valley Institute and got a few pictures of the boys before they could get dirty!

Aren’t they precious? And yes, their eyes really ARE that blue. Onto the barn! The next shows the whole family, including Aunt Sarah, who came along and was a huge help with the boys (and with my reflector! Thanks, Sarah!).

I was really excited to find a barn that was not only RED, but that also had tobacco hanging! You can’t find a barn like that anywhere in the country… it’s very Virginian.

I loooove this shot of Summer with her boys.

Summer and Michael, thanks for letting me photograph your beautiful family again!
