Kayla Stultz contacted me last month about doing some portraits of her and her brother, Robbie. They are both police officers in Radford and wanted to their mother a picture of the two of them in uniform. Click the photo to see the results…
We began our shoot at the Farmer’s Market in downtown Radford. I love the giant iconic wall murals.

I love this photo of Kayla:

Kayla and Rob both wear special “blue line” bracelets in honor of fallen officers. I like this shot of their hands together:

Kayla and Rob wanted to do some shots with their police car, but when I saw Rob had a canine assistant inside, I asked if we could include the dog, too. Meet Jake, the best narcotics sniffer in Southwest Virginia!

Rob’s wife, Stacy, came along as well. She was such a good sport! She held my reflector for me and was always encouraging her husband to smile. I took a few shots of Stacy and Rob together, too.

That must have been the last fall tree left!

We finished the shoot at the actual police station. Rob and Kayla wanted some “action shots.” I call these next photos The Most Dangerous Photos Ever Taken. They are so tough! (I’m actually very nervous around guns, but these photos were their idea, and the guns were NOT loaded – they showed me more than once! I love how they turned out, especially the one of Rob’s eye peeking out from behind the sight.)

I’ll close with my two favorites… love these next pictures of the two of them with the red “Police Department” sign in the background. Kayla and Rob and Jake and Stacy, thanks for a great shoot! I hope you all love your photos!
