Kristin and Teddy, one of my all-time favorite couples in the world, got married yesterday at the beautiful Inn at Hans Meadow in Christiansburg.

I had been looking forward to this wedding all year, because I honestly just love being around Kristin and Teddy.  They are such genuine, loving people, and Kristin is hilarious (I wish I could post audio of her singing ‘What a Wonderful World’ in true Louis Armstrong fashion, or rapping along with Vanilla Ice!).

Kristin and Teddy, thank you so much for including me in your wedding plans!  I hope you love your photos.  Enjoy the sneak peek!

Kristin and the ladies got their hair and makeup done at Meredith’s Salon in Christiansburg.  I get my own hair done there (Kevin is great!), and it was nice to shoot in a familiar place.

Then, we headed over to the Inn so they could get dressed.

In shooting all these weddings over the past year or so, I have learned that a few things are universal.

1. The bride and groom are happiest when they’re together.

2.  People don’t usually like to dance until it’s dark.

3.  The men don’t know how to put on their flowers.  These guys did okay, but a lot of the work was done by committee.  : )

One of my favorite shots of the day…  Teddy’s brother was looking out to see if was still raining (it was).

It rained off and on all day Saturday, and we were pretty sure the wedding ceremony would have to be moved to the front porch, with the guests watching from the reception tents and Kristin walking downstairs and out the door instead of down the aisle.  Fortunately, the rain stopped just long enough for the ceremony and portraits, and Kristin and Teddy were married above a beautiful stone goldfish pond, in the shade of the pine trees.

I love this next one:

I think Kristin is so beautiful…. I can’t wait to post her bridals this week!

Congratulations, Kristin and Teddy!  Check back tomorrow to see photos of their reception!  I’m really happy with how the dance shots turned out, in particular.

Also, a rooster will make an appearance.  : )

I’m glad the day worked out well, it’s amazing how mother nature can behave so well :) Beautiful soft light and the location was so natural looking, love the trees! I like the photo of their foreheads together.
