Now introducing… Jacqueline! Click to see more of her senior pictures.
I will admit that I’m having a bit of a hard time titling this post “Jacqueline,” because to me, this girl will always just be “Jackie” – Jackie, who is so spunky and creative and fun.
The best reason to have senior portraits done by a non-school-sponsored photographer is so your pictures can really reflect YOU and not look the same as everyone else’s. (The supermodel treatment is fun, too.) In Jacqueline’s case, she brought tons of props to express her interests (music sunglasses, an old camera, her mellophone and French horn, three pairs of dance shoes), and we did some edgier, more “artsy” shots just for fun. She was up for anything and was such a good model. She seemed so comfortable in front of the camera from the very beginning, and even had some poses of her own she wanted to try out.
And I also have to mention… THE WEATHER ROCKED. I do mostly natural light photography for seniors, and we are generally at the liberty of the skies. For this shoot, we had strong but soft sun with just a few clouds, comfortable temperatures, and the most beautiful golden light at the end. The photos of Jacqueline in the flowers are some of my very favorites ever. We shot these photos on the Virginia Tech campus, in the duck pond and golf course areas.
Jacqueline (Jackie), it was so much fun shooting these photos for you, and I hope you love them!
