Virginia Tech Wedding: Anne & Jeff

Click to see more of Anne and Jeff’s colorful summer wedding at the Virginia Tech duckpond and Old Dominion Ballroom.

Anne and Jeff.

The more I get to know this couple, the more perfect for each other they seem to me. They are both funny, intelligent, talented, energetic, music lovers, and fantastic dancers. I know their life together is going to be a GREAT adventure.

Anne and Jeff win the wedding food award for hiring Chipotle to cater their wedding. I had never had Chipotle before, believe it or not, and I am SOLD. We even took a side trip to the actual Blacksburg restaurant for some portraits.  You just haven’t lived until you’d been to Chipotle in wedding attire.

Tara Lilly was my fantastic second shooter for this wedding, and a few of the photos below are actually hers.  I think it’s hard to tell which ones, which is an extremely valuable trait to find in a second photographer.  Having Tara along allowed me to relax on the “safe shots” and be a bit more daring, and also allowed both sides of the wedding party time to get their photos done before the ceremony.

Sadly, this wedding was over a month ago, and I am *just now* getting this blog post up. (Having a baby changes everything. It’s true.) So, I’ll quit talking now and just show you the photos.  A few of my favorites… enjoy.

Terrific work, Natalie. Love how much emotion and happiness you’ve captured – the mark of a great wedding. So many laughs! Also, the shot of the bride & groom going in for a hug during the beginning of the reception? Stunning.
