One great side effect of having a baby is that you get a lot of practice taking baby photos. Although I didn’t plan to start photographing babies professionally, I did agree to do a few shoots this year just for fun. First up, Baby Desmond! Click for more….
These photos are actually from two separate sessions. I photographed Desmond and his family in August, and then again in November. Both sessions were on the Virginia Tech campus, and it was amazing to see how much he’d changed. Desi was born just a about a week after my little Caroline, so it’s been really fun to watch him grow this year. I’m looking forward to doing more photos of him in 2012!

These are beautiful, and make us smile no matter how many times we see them. Wyatt and I are big fans of photojournalists and posed photos that have personality – Natalie really understands us and the beauty of our interactions with Desi!
