This wedding, people.
This is the wedding WITH THE BIKES. And the mountains. And the lake. And the hip dancing guests and musical details. And some of my very favorite lakeside portraits. And vegan food and buckets of craft beer in pretty, colorful labels. And decorate-your-own wedding favors. And an autograph tree stump. SHALL I GO ON?
No, I shall not.
Instead, I shall stop writing and show you these pretty photos of Katie and Phil’s gorgeous wedding at Montfair Resort Farm. There are a LOT, so I’m actually going to split this post into two. In this post: their prep, ceremony, and some beautiful romantic portraits. In the next: the BIKES and reception.
Katie began by prepping at the Beauchamp house, which is onsite at Montfair and a beautiful, roomy place for brides to dress.
I’ve photographed many Montfair weddings, but this was the first time the ceremony was NOT at the mountaintop. Instead, Katie and Phil tied the knot down by the lake, and before lunch, too.
One of the best part of this wedding: we got to go out not once, but TWICE for portraits… which is necessary when the bride has two different dresses. I still don’t know which one I like best. Katie looks so beautiful in both of these gowns.
Check back soon to see images from their reception, and MORE portraits…. next time, with the bikes! To see photos from part two of their wedding day, click here.
Also, special thanks to Shannon Maggi, who second shot this wedding with me.
