October is the month your photographer begins officially drowning in photos. It’s been hard over here, trying to balance teaching and editing and parenting… and sleeping. I figure I’m working 65 hours each week a minimum, and always going to bed much later than intended.
But there is a light. It’s November, my shooting is mostly done for the season, and I’m slowly working my way through my final wedding collections. As difficult as it can be trying to get the work done and keep some semblance of balance in my life, I am grateful that the work is THERE. I’m grateful for the couples and families and other photographers I’ve gotten to know through this business, and my family is grateful for the extra income (which, with the crazy high cost of child care, we’ve needed). 2016 will bring new couples and new adventures, and I will be ready for them.
For now, I’m going to try to share a photo or two every few days as much as I can, because I’ve got a lot stored up to share. Today: a favorite from Alicia and Chris’s portrait time at Beliveau Estates in Blacksburg. It’s a beautiful venue and I always like shooting there.
