Fall Wedding at Virginia Tech – Lindsay & Elias

Click to see more of Lindsay and Elias’ beautiful fall wedding at the Virginia Tech duck pond!

It’s always a special honor when I get to shoot a wedding for a friend.  Lindsay and Elias went to graduate school with my husband, and we’ve enjoyed getting to know them and their lovely daughter Lucia over the past couple of years.

Lindsay and Elias were married just before Halloween, in front of the gorgeous fall foliage of the Virginia Tech duck pond amphitheater.  It was probably the coldest pre-Halloween day in recent memory, but being part of their wedding was well worth having to brave the chill (on a side note, fleece-lined tights are my  new favorite item of clothing!).

This is going to be kind of a massive post… I loved all Lindsay’s prep shots, the kids were super cute all night, the dancing rocked, even the food was photogenic (I’m a big fan ofDogtown Pizza‘s mobile brick oven!).  So take a minute, grab a cup of coffee, and enjoy their photos.  I usually try to stick with around 50-60 for a wedding blog post, but there are a whopping 90-some to see this time.  There are also a LOT of black and whites, because I’m just really growing to love the simplicity of them, even in wild dancing shots.

Congratulations, Lindsay and Elias!

Love the quirkiness of this wedding. I want to be friends with these people, no joke. I love that the bride & groom had their baby with them at the altar. You captured so many aspects of this wedding so beautifully. Bravo!

Natalie, I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer and friend to take our wedding pictures. Thanks, all, for your comments. Natalie is the best there is!
