Hi. I’m Natalie.
I am a documentary family and wedding photographer based in Christiansburg, Virginia. Thanks for visiting.
Photography has long been a hobby of mine, and for nearly a decade now, it’s also been my business. I love meeting new people and exploring their personalities through my camera. My goal is to make art from the everyday, and capture even the most mundane moments in a way you’ll want to remember later.
In addition to being a photographer, I teach elementary music, which is possibly the most fun job in the world apart from photography. I sing and dance and play the ukulele all day long, and I love working with young kids. I also keep myself busy with coloring books, exotic recipes and questionable attempts at sewing. I have the world’s smartest husband, a spunky little kindergartener (Caroline), a wild toddler (James), and a very spoiled English setter. Want to meet them? We made a super cute video HERE… grab your tissues for the end, because Caroline’s last sentence makes me cry every time.
You can also find 10 things you never knew about me here… although it’s probably more than what you came for.
But enough about me. Let’s talk about YOU.
If you’ve made it this far on the website, you’re probably interested in authentic, emotional, artful images of your family or wedding day. You are less interested in photos of flowers and place cards than you are in photos of your grandmother beaming with pride as you walk down the aisle. You care less about having a picture of your children expertly coiffed and dressed like perfect ladies and gentlemen than you do about having photos of them playing together with wide eyes and goofy grins. You like photos that tell a story and convey a feeling in addition to simply looking pretty. You probably like bold colors and adventures. Your house is never spotless. You love the windblown look. You’re perhaps a bit sentimental, deep down. You’re tired of holding your own camera and are ready to jump in the photos. You understand that this moment in your life matters, and you want it to be captured the way it truly is.
Am I right? If so, let’s talk.
Pricing for family photography differs according to the type of shoot you’re interested in, the number of children involved, and how long we expect it to take. Documentary family sessions begin at $600, with options to add on a video slideshow, books, and other items. A few times a year, I offer outdoor mini sessions for a reduced price.
Wedding photography packages begin at $3200. Hourly and a la carte options are also available. I am only accepting a limited number of weddings per year at this time.
All packages are customizable and include the high-resolution files with a printing license for your personal use.
For more detailed pricing information, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To get advance notice of mini sessions and other great deals, read photo tips and blog updates, and sometimes even get links to my favorite websites, Pins, and Spotify lists (did I mention I’m a music teacher?), sign up for the family newsletter.
