Christmas is maybe my favorite time of year.  I mean, I’m a teacher, so summer is really hard to beat… but Christmas is a close 2nd.  I love the shopping and the planning and the decorating and the eating.  I love experiencing the sense of mystery and wonder afresh with my kids.  I love trying to convince my husband to put light-up reindeer on our roof.  (He’s never given in.)

In celebration, here is a collection of photos from my Spruce Ridge tree farm sessions.  We actually shot these in October, on a not-too-cold day when things were still largely green.  I think it’s the way to go.
