I was SO all-around impressed with Sylvia. She is involved in band and theatre and is interested in science and backpacking, among other things. She’s clever and mature and, well, I think she is poised to take the world by storm.

We did her session at Heritage Park in Blacksburg, which is a favorite spot for many of my clients. I shoot there a LOT, so sometimes it can feel like I’m taking the same pictures over and over again. Not this time, though. We happened to get to the pond exactly as a beautiful reflection of the clouds was appearing over it, something I hadn’t seen before. And we made it down to the lower fields just in time for golden hour, which was made all the more beautiful by Sylvia’s pretty white maxi dress. The twirl-ability factor was high.
