Something a little unusual happened this year: I got more requests for sessions for senior boys than for girls. I’m not sure why, exactly, but it doesn’t particularly matter. I enjoy working with ALL seniors. And honestly, it was nice to get to expand my portfolio a bit in this manner.

Which brings me to my next point, and the point of this post… when you do a google image search for “Blacksburg Senior Photography,” you see a lot of beautiful young women. They are wearing pretty dresses and walking pensively through fields, or posing by the Hokie stone walls of Virginia Tech, or looking 100% insta-ready in floppy hats and big smiles.

You know what you don’t see much of? People who are not girls. (I don’t want to leave out my non-binary friends!)

So… let’s diversify! Here’s a look at some of the young men I got to work with this fall. They don’t typically want to do as many outfit changes or different poses as the girls do, but they’ve got their own special charm.
