Rounding out this year’s senior reps is Harper, another dancer from Blacksburg. She’s a busy girl, with a full dance class schedule, teaching duties, and swimming on the side. I really admire how she and the other seniors I work with are able to manage their time with so many activities and special interests to balance.

Harper was so relaxed and fun to work with. I love that she wanted to include tap dancing photos as well as ballet! She will go down in history as my first tap portrait model.

This shoot will also go down in history as the time when I got to our meeting spot, opened my bag to pull out my favorite lens, and realized I did not have my camera! I had left it on top of my car when I got my other things out… about 20 minutes prior. I’ve done this with phones multiple times, but never my camera before. Fortunately it was still right there where I left it… a huge relief, because we had some beautiful images to make! Check them out:
